Berman Museum Ukiyo-e Analysis

Kuwagata KEISAI Bird on a Blossoming Branch Berman Museum This piece of Ukiyo-e by Kuwagato KEISAI has a different angle then other Ukiyo-e, for me i think when I saw this one, it's from author's point of view looking up the bird(or author might want people who saw this feel that way). Natural disaster Religion Help Fun Fact Pharrell Williams   Pharrell Visits Takashi Murakami - The 500 Arhats Tokyo Exhibition ENSO The Enso exhibit is an artistic reflection of the Zen Buddhist motif, a motif that represents emptiness, unity and infinity to Buddhism. Which is represented throughout Murakami’s vibrant pieces through a single fluid brush stroke. Murakami also applies a spray paint signature to scream over the signature flower and skulls prints. Paying a touching tribute to Japanese tradition, ‘Enso’ reflects the change in direction Takashi’s career took after the devastating 2011 Japanese earthquake.
